Volume profile is an advanced charting technique that displays the total trading volume at each price level over a specified period. Unlike standard volume bars that show volume over time, volume profile shows volume at price, revealing where the most trading activity occurred. In whale tracking, volume profile analysis combined with whale transaction data from Sonar reveals whether high-volume price levels are driven by whale activity or retail trading. Levels with concentrated whale volume tend to act as stronger support and resistance.
